Corse Automotive & Motorsport owner Mick Mitchell has had a passion for high-performance cars and motorsport for as long as he can remember.
After leaving school and completing his apprenticeship with a Sydney Alfa Romeo dealership, Mick was recruited by Australian motorsport legend Colin Bond to work for his racing team from the mid-1980s to the early-'90s. During his stint with the Bond team, Mick worked on cars as diverse as Alfa Romeo's Group A GTV6 and 75 Turbo, and Ford's awesome Sierra-Cosworth RS500.
Unlike today, when race teams employ specialists in engines, transmissions, electronics, suspensions, machining, fabrication and bodywork, back then mechanics had to learn every aspect of car preparation and repairs.
In 1992 Mick left the Bond team and opened Corse Automotive and Motorsport in Wetherill Park, in western Sydney. During that time he's worked on a wide variety of competition and high-performance road cars, from Porsches to V8 Supercars and just about everything inbetween! (See CARS WE'VE CARED FOR).
His motorsport achievements include:
2004: Mechanic of the Year, Australian Porsche Carrera Cup
2007: Crew Chief of the Year, Australian GT Championship
2012: 1st, Radical Australia Cup series (Neal Muston, Radical SR3)
2014: 1st, Heritage Touring Car Series (Terry Lawlor, Group A Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R)
In 2016 Mick relocated the business to bigger premises in Arndell Park in 2016 to cater for his increasing clientele.

. . . and more!
Mick Mitchell has earned a reputation for first-class workmanship. His friendly, helpful approach is rare in the pressure-cooker motorsport environment.
